All those random hacks are lacking proof and validation, but being mindful about what you’re sharing and who you’re engaging with is going to provide you with the social proof you need to truly see your business scale. Here are a few tips on what to do on Instagram to help your business grow.


Have a Social Media + Business Strategy

Yes, Instagram is one social platform that is constantly changing. No, that doesn’t mean you can just fly by the seat of your pants when it comes to your strategy. In fact, if you don’t have any kind of solid strategy for your business and social media, you’re going to end up meeting those constant changes with a sense of stress and fear. If you’ve got good systems in place, it’ll be that much easier to go with the flow.

If you know you don’t go with the flow well, it could also be important to have someone in place to help you implement your strategies. If that stuff isn’t your cup of tea, it’s someone else's! People may also feel more connected to you if you’re sharing content that inspires them. Maybe it has to do with your personal or entrepreneurial journey, or maybe it’s just an encouraging post to give people a boost. If you’re evoking real feelings from the content you’re sharing, people are going to feel like they really know you-whether they do or not!

Engage & Build Relationships

The meaningful content you’re sharing will garner a lot of  attention- don’t let it slip through your fingers! If you’re establishing connections with people online and having real conversations, keep the magic alive. By continuing to engage with other people’s content and chat more in the DM’s, you’ll be letting people know that you truly care about them as both people and potential clients. 

Interacting online can sometimes feel so robotic and manufactured that when we’re met with a much more human approach, it can spark a  beautiful connection between people from all over the world. 

Stay Consistent

Creating a strategy, producing content, and engaging may seem like the easy parts to growing on Instagram in comparison to remaining consistent. It sounds cliche, but consistency is key. If you have a good thing going and then decide to just fall off the face of Instagram because you can’t keep up, your growth will suffer as a result. 

People want to see you show up- but you don’t have to show up perfectly. In fact, don’t show up perfectly- just show up! If your audience is really there for you and what you have to offer, they are not going to care if you showed up with no makeup on just to say you were late getting to the office this morning. Someone is going to relate and they are going to love seeing someone else in the same boat.
